Analog Photography
Started in 2019
In Praise of Slowness - Return to Matter
Analog photography is a choice of slowness and deep listening. Far from the immediacy of the digital realm, film and the darkroom bring me back to a physical connection with the image. Through the personal care of hand developing and printing, I explore the authentic matter of daily life: a summer beach, a lamppost lit at dusk, the silent architectures of my homeland. An ongoing research project aimed at capturing a timeless texture and the emotional essence of things.

Pisa on the street - A daily life project
September 2014 - April 2015
Pisa on the street
That's the name of a daily life photography project created by a group of ten students. The initiative was born out of an advanced photography course held at the Erasmus bookstore in Pisa.
The young photographers took dozens of photos on the city's streets with the goal of publishing a book of their best shots. After producing the photo book, the ambitious idea emerged to present their work directly to the world-renowned Magnum Photos agency.
With the support of the Idee per Pisa association and through valuable connections in the photography world, the students' dream came true: they flew to the Big Apple to visit the most important photo agency on the globe.
