Sonori Scatti di Calici
June 6, 2025
A Sensory Journey across Photography and Music
The Sonori Scatti di Calici exhibition offered a captivating journey into the realm of synesthesia, masterfully blending the worlds of photography, wine, and music. This immersive group show invited visitors to visually experience the sensations of taste and sound. The photographs skillfully captured the magic of this fusion—from the intense expressions of musicians to the shimmering reflections in wine glasses. The event was curated by Cantina Jazz, a cornerstone of the Pisa cultural scene since 2001, renowned for creating innovative, high-profile events that elegantly dissolve the boundaries between different art forms.

Dalla Strada dell’Olio alle vie del mare
May 12, 2016
This project was born from the collaboration between five municipalities and the Pisan photographic agency, Luminance Photo Agency. It blends landscape and art photography to capture the beauty of the landmarks surrounding the City of the Leaning Tower.
On Friday, May 13, 2016, the free, traveling photo exhibition "From the Oil Road to the Sea Routes" was launched in the halls of the Praetorian Palace in Vicopisano. The exhibition features 40 black and white photographs that tell a story through light and shadow, portraying the five municipalities that stretch from the Pisan Lungomonte area to the sea, which together form the historic Oil Road: Vecchiano, San Giuliano Terme, Calci, Vicopisano, and Buti.

Pisa/NY on the street, contrasts and analogies

A Photographic Dialogue Between Pisa and New York
The streets, the geometry, and above all, life on the street. This dialogue takes shape through 50 black and white photographs in the exhibition Pisa/NY on the Street. The show is a photographic retrospective that brings together two worlds-distant yet surprisingly connected. The initiative was created in collaboration with Idee per Pisa and Toscana Aeroporti S.p.A., and curated by the photographic agency Luminance Photo Agency. The 50 black and white images aim to reveal the essence of both cities, highlighting similarities at times, and pure contrasts at others.
Pisa on the street - A daily life project
March 31, 2015
Pisa on the street
That's the name of a daily life photography project created by a group of ten students. The initiative was born out of an advanced photography course held at the Erasmus bookstore in Pisa.
The young photographers took dozens of photos on the city's streets with the goal of publishing a book of their best shots. After producing the photo book, the ambitious idea emerged to present their work directly to the world-renowned Magnum Photos agency.
With the support of the Idee per Pisa association and through valuable connections in the photography world, the students' dream came true: they flew to the Big Apple to visit the most important photo agency on the globe.
